A Line of Your Most Popular T-shirt Stores

By: Smith Jones

Who doesn’t prefer to boast a great t-shirt? A fashionable t-shirt speaks volumes about your persona, that cultural position, and lastly shows the design quotient within you! You will find lots of sites on the net where exactly you may buy the recent fashionable t-shirts from. We’ve outlined a couple of selected web sites in order to make the shopping experience far better:

• E-bay - E-bay is the ideal place to start with. Every single day numerous consumers buy a myriad of products on e-bay as well as it’s a very good destination to search for amazing t-shirts too. Browse the clothings segment in e-bay and you’d be right away delivered with a lot of results to go for.

Pros -The superb aspect when it comes to e-bay is that you may search through 1000s of t-shirts and choose one which best suits your need and style. You'll find either "buy now" as well as "bid" offers. The "buy now" offers usually come tagged with the right form of price cut or the other from a retailer and also you don’t have to wait around for eternity to get bids to shut and claim the things. Simply just order it, purchase it, receive it then validate the payment. One of the benefits related to e-bay is that you run a minimal chance of losing your hard-earned money. If you don't like your t-shirt or the product reaches you damaged and mutilated, you can just send it back and opt for something diffrent. The seller doesn’t get compensated till you authorize the payment. One other beneficial area is the fact that sellers already have "seller’s ratings" to think about and if you do not order from poor grade merchant, you can rest assured towards the item standing upright on the presented claims. In the event you buy a "bid now" listing, chances are you'll end up with a cool t shirt at surprisingly low prices!

Cons - You have to simply wait for a little bit before the t-shirt actually reaches you and also you might find that the size your purchased is unacceptable in your case. The ebay seller will possibly not want to accept responsibility in this in addition, on exceptional occasions you might have to end up paying for that!

• Amazon.com - Amazon is known for a wonderful range of t-shirts, much like various other items. You will get t-shirts of nearly any make, style and shade on Amazon. The product quality is mostly commendable and also the manufacturers are all well-known ones. You'll get what you pay for!

Pros - Probably the choices tend to be wider and you could sift through pages of amazing t-shirts photographs then stop on the one that fits into your budget. The range is almost certainly greater than e-bay.

Cons - Amazon items are not for those people who are on a limited budget. They sell esteemed makes, however the cost is often higher when compared with what you could possibly be provided in other websites.

• Cafepress.com - This can be a destination to be if you need custom designed t-shirts. They enable you to upload your personal images also, aside from the designs seen on the site. Just simply pick the design, pay for your t-shirt after that allow them to transfer print and mail it to you! Their expert services are well applauded and you don’t have a possiblity to lose money.

• Zazzle.com - It is a gifting website, but the t-shirt designs are generally quite cool. The best part is the number of choices provided is very large. I hope soon they would expand the options offered to greater heights and as well take care of the high style quotient while doing so.

This content is written by Smith Jones, a fabulous t-shirt personalizing specialist working with Strendy where one can buy t-shirts online. Wide array of t-shirts are available from geeky designs to rude offensive slogans.

Tension Engagement Rings - Design Alternatives

By: Vasco Kirov

Some 30 years after the introduction of the first tension set ring by Niessing the number of designs based on its concept is overwhelming. This design proved that even in jewelry design one good idea can branch out into years of ongoing trend. Let`s see what is a tension ring setting?

The original and still very popular design is a simple, excessively thick open band, holding a gemstone, most often diamond suspended between its two ends. Two groves precut in the opposing sides accommodate the girdle of the stone assuring its right positioning and preventing it from slipping out. The secure hold is provided by the tension of the work hardened metal springing back - the stronger the tension the safer the setting. The usual metal used is platinum since the mechanical properties of this strong metal provide sufficient tension for very secure hold. Many variations of this design hit the market since then – from simple copies of the original to ones with completely radical use of the tension concept. While some of them were real showcase of professional creativity others were trying to offer more affordable diamond ring alternatives and this is where the things got out of the initial safe context.

The long price tag of tension set ring comes from its excessive weight and the use of platinum as media. The excessive weight is a necessary precondition for higher tension, hence safe setting. While on conventional setting the shank could be fairly delicate or at least get gradually thinner between the fingers and at the back, tension settings could be anything but delicate. In order to provide sufficient tension for safe setting the tension shank must have considerable thickness at the back uniform all around or gradually increasing to the top. This calls for very thick, doughnut - like shanks which might feel uncomfortable between the fingers. The exchange of platinum with gold alloy in order to meet lower budgets is safe only when suitable high tension alloy is in place and this is not option for many manufacturers. Many small manufacturers tried to reduce the weight which resulted in many lost diamonds and the perception that the tension set is unsafe. This is where the designers came with the connecting link on tension designs. A small link joining the two parts of the shank behind the diamond eliminates the need of tension for secure setting. Of course this is not real tension setting since tension is not part of the concept but it provides identical look once on the finger and brings along plenty of benefits. What are the advantages of both designs?

Linked ring
• It can be made in any metal currently in use for fine jewelry.
• Provides structure for very safe setting.
• Eliminates the need of excessive thickness and the adjoined weight and high price.
• Makes way for delicate and balanced design line impossible with the original design.
• The rings are very comfortable and strong, perfectly suitable for active lifestyle.

Original design
• Interesting look of the suspended stone noticeable only when viewed off the finger.
• The name of tension set ring can be rightfully applied.

The names "original" and "real" often override practicality and in many cases it is the right thing to do. In the tension setting ring’s case however, after the above assessment, I consider the link version as the improved one and undoubtedly choose it for my range. It gives me the opportunity to offer more comfortable, elegant looking, safe and much cheaper alternative to the original.

Tips to Safely Shop Online

By: Susan Gavin

Shopping online can be intimidating and kind of scary for those new to the internet. The following advice will provide some guidelines to make the experience much more enjoyable.

If unsure of a reputable on-line business see if an acquaintance has purchased from a webstore without any problems. If so, there will probably be no hassles in dealing with them.

Next use a search engine to find what is needed. There are search engines all over the net. Type the desired item into the search bar and click "go". There will be pages of info and e-commerce websites to look into.

Reputable webstores can be found using the following guidelines.

* Think of how well know the business is. Shady sites rarely spend money on marketing
like the big companies.
* Check the BBB website. All that is needed is a city, state, or zip code. A business name,
type, phone or web address. Quite a bit of information can be found this way. A business
is rated even if not a member.
* Read a few reviews. Don't start with the stores on site reviews. A few tend to be
biased. To find unbiased reviews use a search engine. Type the business name into the
search bar and follow that with the word - reviews. Several pages of results will be shown.
Most will be false leads so be sure to actually get to a review. Reading several will show
the positive to negative ratio. If there are more positive then it is time to read the onsite
reviews. If you find few or no off site reviews it could just be a new company. Instinct plays a
part in this situation.
* Be sure to look at the webstores website. Does it look professional and like some thought went
into it? Do all the links or large majority of the links work properly? Do they have a contact us
page and an about us page? Are the product pics and descriptions as good as or better than a
catalog? Is there any secure site, safe transaction or paypal logos?
* After researching, a decision is usually easy to make. Remember! There are plenty more sites
out there. Pick and choose until a good webstore is found.

Click to go to the webstore, choose an item and put it in the onsite cart. When all selected items are in the cart just click on the check-out button. A credit or debit card will be required. On-line payment services such as Paypal are another option. Most browsers have a small padlock or other security indicator. Make sure the padlock is locked or the indicator shows the link to be secure. Fill out the billing and shipping information, click submit and the transaction is completed. A printable receipt is usually available. Most E-commerce sites will send a confirmation email.

Don't forget! The internet is full of scammers. Follow these guidelines and things should turn out great. If your in doubt, find another store.

Susan Gavin carries a variety of DVD storage options from racks to cabinets. The TB hard drives and High GB flash drives will fill the bill for those download and digital movies. There is also a "Lets See" category where it could be anything. Find her at http://www.Storeitdvd.com

The What-To-Know About Certified Diamonds

By: Suzanne Grover

What Are GIA & EGL Certified Diamonds?

The European Gemological Laboratory (EGL) and the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) are two independent institutions that research and certify the "quality, authenticity, and integrity of your purchase." Using modern verification processes, both of these companies specialize in grading diamonds, diamond character study, laser inscription, and assigning different class certifications to diamonds.

Choice Certified

When looking for a ring that will catch everyone's attention, a brilliant round cut diamond is a great choice. The refractive quality of this type of cut is incredibly impressive. A round cut, when paired with a prong setting, accents the clarity and magnifies the internal fiery brilliance of the diamond. The prong setting gives a raised effect to the diamond, resulting in ample light entry points. This means that no matter which angle your gorgeous engagement ring is viewed from, everyone will see a dazzling and delightful diamond. Round brilliant cut and ideal cut diamonds are currently the most popular choices for brides to be. However, the princess cut diamond ranks a very close second in popularity.
For those who don't know, the princess cut appears to be a square and resembles an upside down pyramid when in the setting. Another name for the princess cut is the square modified brilliant cut, or a bride's best friend.

Cushion cut diamonds are a hybrid variant between ancient mine cuts and the more modern oval cuts. They are fondly referred to as the "candlelight diamond" because they are seen as a very romantic diamond choice. No matter what shape of diamond you're looking for, make sure you only select from ideal certified diamonds.

Benefits of Certification

When you buy EGL certified diamonds or GIA certified diamonds, you can be secure in the fact that your diamond engagement ring is from a reputable, conflict-free source because your diamond purchase comes with precise certification documentation. Knowing specifics regarding the authenticity and quality of your diamond, helps you to avoid getting duped with third rate diamonds or stones with synthetic fillers. Since artificial filling in diamonds isn't always visible in diamonds, it can be easy for less reputable jewelers to pass off diamonds of lesser quality as better than they really are. Be sure you know what you're buying! When looking at diamonds for sale online, always opt for a trustworthy online jeweler that uses laser inscription and sells EGL certified and GIA certified diamonds. These are the ideal jewelers you should be doing business with.

The Skinny On Animal Skins – Full Grain Leather

By: Steve Nasher

We all love the smell of new leather, whether it’s your new car seat covers or a new leather wallet or handbag. Most common forms of leather finishes fall into one of 4 categories; full grain, top grain, corrected grain and split leather. In this article we’ll look at the most desirable form of leather.

Full Grain Leather.
Considered the highest quality leather for its durability, this leather type has not undergone significant treatment. Full grain leather has had the epidermis layer or hair removed leaving the hide intact which can then be dyed. The result is a true natural grain leather finish without diminishing the tensile strength of the hide. Animal skins used to produce leather often have many imperfections accrued over the life-span of the animal, such as scare damage from run-ins with other animals, skin diseases or even punctures from mites/ticks and other biting insects. Since any imperfections, defects, abrasions or punctures cannot be corrected or removed to qualify as full grain leather, the highest quality graded skins are normally used to produce full grain leather products.

Of course imperfections or natural irregularities are desirable in some leather goods, adding character and "genuine" appeal to the product. In such cases, imperfections are left "as is" to highlight the natural grain of the animal skin. For example a full grain crocodile leather wallet made from the belly skin of a large croc, will still have obvious pin holes from a sensory hair on each scale called the integumentary sensory organ pore (ISO pore). Incidentally, this is a great way of distinguishing between the lesser quality alligator leather from a high quality croc wallet, alligators lack this ISO pore. If your genuine crocodile leather product has no ISO pore, then it may well be alligator. You can checkout an example of these ISO pores on a croc wallet in the resource links mentioned at the end of this article.

Full grain leather is normally tanned with an aniline or semi-aniline finish. An aniline finish is tanning with a soluble dye (usually without pigment) with no protective coat or sealant, aniline leather is breathable leather that will develop beautiful patina overtime. Semi-aniline has a very thin protective coat added. It should be noted that modern leather finishing techniques have blurred the lines of definition between aniline, semi-aniline and protected aniline (pigmented) finishes. Different parts of an animal hide absorb dyes (and pigments) by varying degrees, thicker parts of the skin or creases in neck lines for example will take on less pigmentation than other parts of the hide. However, most of the leather industry would agree that a "pure aniline" tanning process makes no attempt to correct or even out any color or pattern variations of the leather.

These properties of full grain leather, however desirable, would not be suitable for some leather goods on the market. The type of product is going to determine the type of leather finish used. A leather product that needs a uniform colorfast or protected coating to resist staining for example is not going to be full grain leather. The properties required for each are covered by other finishes such as top grain, corrected grain or split leather with varying degrees of quality. From bullwhips to briefcases, leather armour to leather wallets, these and many other tanning methods have evolved over thousands of years with the need to produce leathers for practical uses in the past, to the desire and demand of the modern day luxury leather market. A market that delivers exquisite ostrich leather, tough croc wallets, shiny stingray leathers, shark skin leather and even lizard leather!

If you like this article, please take a moment to rate it. Thanks.

By: Brian Gillet

Military service rings are a great way to show your pride and honor in what you do. It’s because of this country’s military members that our country stays strong, secure, and safe. If you have a loved that serves or has served in one of the branches of the United States military, then know that there is no finer gift than military service rings. Not only will these rings showcase the member’s military career, but it can also become a treasure passed onto future generations.

Military service rings can be ordered online and it doesn’t take much time at all. You will need to consider a few things before ordering though, such as the type of precious metal you want the ring made from, the emblems or insignia you want engraved, and if you want a semi-precious stone on the top. All of these decisions will ensure that the ring you order is personalized specifically for the wearer. There will always be a bit of history in the ring, too.

You will have a choice of several semi-precious stones and many choose their birthstone for the top of the ring. There can be an engraving added under the stone, which adds a great deal of depth to the ring’s design. Consider the precious metal that will be used for the ring when choosing your stone, too. There are some of the stones that look better with gold than silver and vice versa.

Be sure you order the right size. While you may think that this goes without saying, it’s best to use whatever ring sizer is offered on the website you’re ordering on. You simply print and cut the sizer out and you’ll know that you’re ordering the right size.

Now, you’ll move onto the most important part of ring’s design – the personalization. You will have your choice of over one hundred emblems, symbols, and insignias. Consider using the crest for the branch of service on the top of the ring, either under or without a precious stone. A unit or division insignia is a great choice for one side of the ring. The other might feature an aircraft or ship that the military member is assigned to. Perhaps a special date or initials would be a great choice or an insignia for a specific military campaign. This is obviously what will set this ring apart from other military service rings.

Diamond Obtaining Guide

By: Chris Benson

You need to pay attention to the diamond's four C's, color, clarity, cut and carat weight, when buying diamond earrings, diamond rings or any form of diamond jewelry. The measure of a diamond's quality is these four features. If these four characteristics have high scores, the diamond jewelry is considered a lot more beautiful and its price will be higher.

Diamond color chart

The finest diamonds are nearly clear since traditionally, it is graded on lack of color. Faint shades of gray, yellow and brown are the hues rated in "white" diamonds. To express the color, an alphabetical chart from D to Z is used. Envision a glass of clear water in contrast with a glass of water mixed with a few drops of lemonade; you will get an understanding of the differences in diamond color chart. Color diffusion in diamond jewelry is approximately shown in the following color chart:

D-F: Colorless
G-I: Nearly colorless
J-K: Soft color
L-R: Recognizable color
S-Z: Obvious color

When the diamond has a very different tone than gray, yellow and brown, or its color vividness goes beyond Z, it becomes a fancy colored diamonds. For grading fancy colors, the amount and strength of color are assessed. You'll find a diamond in every color of the rainbow including black, purple, yellow, pink and blue. Fancy diamonds are generally more rare than white diamonds.

Importance of diamond clarity

The diamond is rated depending on its inclusions and scars; the grade is termed clarity. The diamond with fewer flaws and blemishes is considered more valuable. The diamond's brilliance may also be directly impacted by clarity. The attribute that gives brilliant beauty to the stone is the light that reflects within it, which gets blocked when there are inclusions.

According to the observation of a qualified gemologist, here are diamond clarity grades listed from best to least:

FL (flawless): Under 10-power magnification, there are no obvious inclusions or blemishes of any sort, inside or outside the diamond.
IF (internally flawless): Under 10-power magnification, some external or surface blemishes like miniscule scratch are found on the stone but it doesn't have internal inclusions.

VVS-1 & 2 (very, very slightly included): An experienced gemologist has considerable trouble finding the very tiny inclusions in this stone under 10-power magnification.
VS-1 & 2 (very slightly included): The slight blemishes of this diamond are fairly challenging to determine under 10-power magnification.
SI-1 & 2 (slightly included): Blemishes of this stone are somewhat easily seen with 10-power magnification, but with no magnification, are very difficult for a gemologist to notice.
SI-3 (slightly included): The border where these stones come is between SI-2 and I-1.
I-1, 2 & 3 (included): Even with no magnification, the diamond has noticeable inclusions.

Diamond clarity enhancement

You will see in the product description that several diamonds are treated to further improve the clarity. In the item description of an individual piece of jewelry, Overstock.com will determine clarity-enhanced diamonds. The method goes like this:

High-refractive-index glass substance in very small quantity is introduced into surface-reaching feathers to reduce their visibility. The effects of this treatment are successfully seen on very thin crevices and fissures. This procedure does not affect the diamond's natural color and is therefore still considered natural. With this enhancement procedure, zero weight is added to the diamond since only very small amounts of filler are utilized. You will notice a "flash effect" when you watch a clarity-enhanced diamond almost parallel to the plane of the filled structure. Against a brilliant background, the flash effect normally looks blue; while against a dark background it appears yellow or orange. It is normally just the two colors and does not consist of a full array of color. For greatest outcomes with 10 times magnification, put this optical effect under a focused beam of extreme light.

It has been established by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), after comprehensive research, that the filler substance may be damaged by high heat or acids but is steady under normal wear situations. Before restoration work is done, remove clarity-enhanced diamonds to easily avoid damage.

Diamond cut

The term diamond cut refers to the stone's shape, proportion, polish and symmetry. All of great importance when cutting a stone to its best appearance is the stone's shape and proportion. What affects how a diamond shines or "scintillates" is its shape and proportion; brightness is mirrored and refracted inside the stone and this is the cause of its sparkle. The face-up appearance of the stone can differ significantly depending on how deep or shallow the diamond is cut. The entrance and exit of light in the facets of the diamond certifies its polish. The stone symmetry is a description of both its depth percentages and length to width ratio. For diamonds, "ideal cut" is the best.

Diamond carat

The weight description of diamonds is its carat. The abbreviation "ct" or "CT" is used to describe just one stone. "Total diamond weight" or "TDW" is put in when the jewelry is set with several stones. To explain further - "1ct" may be used to describe a solitaire diamond engagement ring and "1ct TDW" for a 3-stone diamond anniversary ring. (Note: To refer to gold's purity, the term used is not carat but "karat" and is abbreviated "k". So, in a 22k setting, you may have a 1ct diamond.)
Equating carat weight with the stone's actual size is difficult for most people. To compare carat weight to millimeters, we have provided a short guideline here. We are using round and princess cut diamonds in this illustration. The diamond shape, depth and cut of a specific stone and its various distinctions can determine important versions from these sample measurements.

Features of the Best Cigar Lighters

By: Kyle Smith

It’s a stretch to believe that a cigar lighter really is one of the most crucial tools for any cigar smoker. You may think that a lighter is just a lighter but like a set of chef knives, there are many different kinds and each one serves a specific purpose. A good high-quality cigar lighter-—also known as a torch lighter thanks to the resemblance and the strong flame produced—-should allow for a flame that stays, unwavering, in any environment. But there's more to a cigar lighter than just that!

Many smokers ask me "which cigar lighters are the best, most reliable lighters out there?" Well, one lighter may be the best lighter for one smoker but the worst for another. Thus, instead of listing specific lighters or brands, I’ll just head you off in the right direction by listing features that I look for in a durable, functional lighter when searching online cigar shops for cigar accessories and cigar gifts.

Types of Lighters:

Let’s get one thing straight, folks: a cigar lighter is NOT the same thing as a cigarette lighter.

A cigar needs more heat to ignite than a cigarette. Also, a cigar takes quite a bit longer to light than a cigarette does because cigars are made of different tobacco ingredients. But why do you have to use a cigar lighter?

A cigarette lighter uses a different type of fuel than a cigar torch lighter. Cigar lighters contain butane fuel, cigarette lighters use lighter fluid. Butane is odorless and burns cleaner and hotter than standard lighter fluid. Because it is odorless, butane will not create unwanted flavors or add them to your stogies; lighter fluid in cigarette lighters will.

Features of Cigar Lighters:

Now that you understand the importance of a cigar lighter, let’s focus on some aspects of a dependable, good cigar lighter you should look for when searching cigar shops for cigar gifts and accessories. In random order:

A good-size fuel tank – Now you don’t have to worry about your small lighter constantly running out of butane!

Viewing window for fuel level – Convenient way to tell when you’re almost out of fuel. No more dead lighters at inconvenient times!

Ergonomic side-trigger – natural position for trigger that helps light your stogies.

An extra (second) trigger – Sometimes, you may need a little extra flame; press this and a second flame pops out to help you light the big ones, if needed.

Lighter with cover (but NOT a flip top lid!) – A lighter with a recessed cover is best because it moves out of the way when lighting. While a flip top lid protects the lighting implement when you’re not using your lighter, it gets in the way when you do use your lighter.

Recessed lighting nozzle – recessed lighting nozzles are a great help when it’s windy out. A sturdy flame is a cigar smoker’s best friend (well, other than the cigar itself!), and this feature really ‘keeps it up’ (for lack of a better phrase). It also reduces the amount of debris and dust that may collect in the nozzle; this will keep your lighter at its best.

Large flame-adjustment knob (one-finger adjustment) – We constantly need to adjust the flame on our lighter because the conditions around us are constantly changing. An easy to use flame-adjustment knob is of dire importance and is much more convenient than the small screwdriver some lighters require for adjustments.

With that, I wish you good luck shopping for a dependable, worthy cigar lighter for yourself or a friend (they make great cigar gifts!). Happy cigar lighting!

Diamond Buying How To's

By: Chris Benson

One doesn't have to be intimidated when buying a diamond, even when the buy is emotionally and financially substantial. We have supplied four basic ways to give you a diamond-purchase experience that is as pleasurable and special as the item you obtained.

1. Pick out your jeweler the way you would a doctor, lawyer or any other professional, one that is skilled and competent. Among the credentials of an suitable jeweler is a training from Accredited Jewelry Professional (A.J.P.) or GIA Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) and a business network with groups and professionals of the jewelry market such as American Gem Society (AGS) and American Gem Trade Association (AGTA). A trusted and competent jeweler will provide you with explanations of the importance of the 4Cs of diamond quality as well as the comparison of several products within your budget.

2. Get a good grasp of the 4Cs of the diamond quality, it determines the worth and cost of the diamond.

Carat

The weight of the diamonds is measured in carats, each carat is about 2. grams, just like a paper clip. If a dollar has 100 cents so a carat has 100 points; thus, a .50-carat diamond has 50 points. However, it doesn't mean that two diamonds of same weight are of the same value; it would largely vary depending on their color, clarity and cut. Sometimes people think that a greater diamond is more expensive because weight can be deceiving.

Clarity

Unique marks called inclusions (internal) and blemishes (external) are observed in most diamonds because they have been crafted from deep down the earth. Diamonds without these imperfections are unusual and consequently, has a higher purchasing value. The clarity grade, as given by the GIA Diamond System, runs from (F) Flawless to (I3) Included.

Color

Most diamonds are nearly colorless with yellow and brown shades; and the rarest and the most valuable are the colorless stones. To represent colors, GIA Diamond Grading System uses letters from D (colorless) and ending in Z (light yellow or brown). The color differences are usually very subtle and cannot be easily detected by the untrained eye, but the little difference in color can greatly affect the price.

Cut

Diamond has many diverse shapes like hearts, pears, round brilliants and marquises, but the term cut relates to proportion and arrangement of facets. With the use of light to establish glitter, brilliance and sparkle, the utter beauty of the diamond depends on its cut more than anything else. GIA values the diamond's cut and labels them from Excellent to Poor. For standard round brilliant ones, GIA provides cut quality grade from D to Z.

3. Diamond reports are necessary. A grading report from an accredited independent gemological laboratory such as GIA will confirm the quality, value and authenticity of the diamond; hence you should persist to have it. The most extensively used reports in the jewelry industry are those of GIA Diamond Grading Reports; they offer grading services and reports straight to the public. GIA won't work on mounted diamonds, it is best that a coordination be made with your jeweler so that diamonds will be shown to the lab properly.

4. Security of your purchase is essential. Just before you give the gems as a surprise to your loved one, be certain to have it evaluated and insured. To precisely assess the quality and value of the stones, insurers and appraisers count on the diamond grading and identification reports.

The diamond unique Diamond Grading Report number can be laser-inscribed by the GIA Laboratory; this will make verification available just in case the stone gets lost or stolen. Personal inscriptions may also be done, if the owner prefers. You may contact GIA for this program, or ask help from your jeweler.

Buying That Great Party Kids Transformers Costume

By: Nathaniel Izzo

Maybe I'm odd, but Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and this year I'm thinking about getting a kids transformers costume for the big event. I like to really do things up for this holiday, and have even entered in some costume contests in years gone by. That might be a lot of work, though, because you usually must create your own costume if you want to have a chance at winning. Most Halloweens I just shop online and buy something which catches my eye.

You might be anxious about making an online purchase of something like a costume. That is reasonable, but unnecessary. The online venue is almost ideal for seasonal businesses like costume sales, because the online seller doesn't have to keep up infrastructure year round for a business that only make sales 2 or 3 months out of the year. As you would expect, a strong group of businesses has established itself in this industry and there is plenty of competition to guarantee that they offer excellent prices and service.

Many of the established online retailers these days provide a way for people who have purchased the product to provide information, either in the form of ratings or complete reviews. Finding real buyers' reviews of that costume you are considering might be an absolute godsend! The customers will give you the straight scoop, warts and all, and most importantly feedback about likely the worst hassle of all: size problems! The last thing you need is usually to buy your usual size, then find out that their "S" is actually more like an "XS". A too-big costume is a pain; a too-small costume will usually be a waste of money, unless you've got time to exchange it.

A frequent gripe people have when buying costumes online is sizes! The favorable sellers try to give you extra feedback on this subject, and customer reviews will frequently harp on it a lot. Be sure to buy from a good, established online dealer that provides access to customer reviews (most of them do, these days). The last thing you need would be to order your costume and find out that even though you usually wear an XL, the costume is too small. Should you didn't provide yourself time to return the thing for replacement, you'll be kicking yourself even harder.

What this all boils down to is a few rudimentary (and probably unmistakable) things you must do if you intend to be pleased with your costume. Start thinking about your costume well in advance! Don't leave the purchasing for the last minute, or you may not have time to exchange if there are issues. Budget the time to spend going over previous customers' reviews. This can save you lots of grief. And last but not least be sure you order your transformers costume from a sound, reputable online outlet; there are now plenty of them to be found.

Nathan Izzo loves to write on any number of matters, and occasionally does html development and marketing services.

Wrapped or Unwrapped?

By: Kyle Smith

One of the most common questions I get asked about cigars is how to store them in your humidor—with the cellophane, or without it?

I usually go for unwrapped. It’s part of my purist nature. I just find it incredibly pleasing to open my humidor and find neatly-packed cigars in their bare wrappers. But you may ask—if storing your stogies bare is the best option, why do manufacturers wrap them in cellophane at all? As usual, there are pros and cons to each side—and don’t forget about myth, too.

Why Wrap?

Protection is the most important factor to consider when storing your cigars. Cellophane is a plus because it protects your cigars from not only yourself, but from other cigars as well. Stogies secrete oils that could mix with other cigars if you don’t store them properly, which might alter the traits of your cigars. This may be a good idea if you have the same brand of cigars all stored in the same humidor, but when you place different cigars in the same humidor, this is usually not beneficial.

The cellophane also protects against physical damage. When handling cigars that are bare, you absorb some of the oils from the wrapper of the cigar. Do this too often and you may damage the wrapper by removing too much of the cigar’s natural oils. Cellophane also protects your stogies when you carry them around (in a pocket, briefcase, coat, etc). It helps keep the wrapper from tearing due to wear-and-tear and friction.

The biggest myth about cellophane is that it does not allow for proper humidification of cigars. Cellophane is porous, so the humidity in your humidor can permeate your stogies and keep them in a desired microenvironment. Worried about your sticks not getting enough air? Cellophane’s permeability also allows for adequate levels of air contact.

Why Unwrap?

With all of that said, let’s move on to the reasons why it may be beneficial to remove the cellophane. There are just as many good reasons to store your stogies au-natural as there are good reasons for storing them in the cellophane.

Remember: if you are storing one specific type of cigar in your humidor, it could be beneficial to remove the cellophane. Doing so lets the oils from all the cigars in the group to mix together, equalizing the flavor profile for each cigar in the bunch.

Thinking about aging your stogies? Take off that cellophane. Cellophane, while porous, restricts the air levels that can reach the cigar. Leaving it on can inhibit the aging process by nearly 50%.

Cellophane works against you when you want to keep the optimum microclimate for your stogies. In the regulation process, stogies transmit and absorb humidity; this process is slowed by cellophane. Why? Cellophane is quite like a screen door—it allows for air flow, but at much lower levels than what would be registered if unwrapped.

A few little tips:

If you unwrap a cigar and toss out the cellophane but later find yourself wanting to bring a few sticks to the course, put them in individual plastic sandwich baggies for travel (don’t store them in your humidor this way though!).

Some also suggest leaving the wrapper on while storing and then removing it just a week or two before you plan on smoking that cigar. It is said to give both benefits of storing nude and wrapped.

That about covers it for the pros and cons to cellophane wrappers. I hope this helped!

Last comment: the best way to figure which option to chose is to think about what you want to do with your stogies!

Celebrating Halloween On A Budget

By: Lisa Moore

Halloween is coming up fast. Do you know what you are going to be? What about your kids? What kind of candy or giveaway item will you hand out? Will you hand out candy or another item? Do you want to throw your own Halloween party? How should you decorate your home? What about a theme party? Oh, it would be so fun. I would have a good time and so would my family…I hope. These are the thoughts running through my mind. Then I hit the wall. You know, the "how am I going to pay for all of this?". I mean, I want to have a good time, but is all the money it takes worth it? There has to be a way to do this. That’s when I come up with the idea to enjoy Halloween on a budget.

So, here is my plan of things to do. First, I will make an invitee list and stick to a set number of people to keep my costs manageable. Then I will send the invite via email or Face Book. Both of these options don’t even require a stamp and with the way we all use technology, I would probably get a response faster than a phone call from an invitation. In addition, I can see everyone who is attending, the dish they are bringing and basically manage the entire event all in one place. Next, the party will be potluck style. This way, I don’t have to cook everything and it gives my pocketbook a bit of a break. Besides I am sure my guest would rather eat a meal than candy all night. I would also consider avoiding alcohol and opt for blood-red punch of some sort. Maybe even add some fake eye balls or hand or something. By avoiding alcohol I keep everyone safe and sober, come-on, this is a family event. I would also look online for theme or Halloween themed items to help me decorate the house. There are several stores to consider. When it comes to costumes I could either purchase it online or make something with what I have in the house. I know many stores have deals if you do decide to purchase online, but it would be a cost saver if I could put something together with what I have. To add a little fun, I would have a costume contest and go to a discount store for prizes. For example, a scary looking pen for the scariest costume winner, a gag item for the funniest costume, you get the point. Instead of bobbing for apples, I could get little pumpkins and let the kids draw faces on them. When they are finished, they can add them to the party and then take them home as a little party favor. Of course, I would have some candy, but between the real food and desserts, I can avoid having bags of candy sitting around the house for a month. Besides, I probably eat more of the candy than the kids do.

Having this plan in mind is great because I can stay in the comfort and safety of my own home, but still have the company of all my friends. I am sure everyone will have a great time and the best part, my wallet doesn’t take a huge hit!

Tungsten Wedding Bands Send Designers Scrambling to Meet Demand

By: J. Raquel

Tungsten Wedding Bands, Keep The Cash in Your Wallet

2011 has not been an easy year for anyone, with rising prices from fuel to food, most of us would concur that jewelry is a luxury of the past, especially for us of the working class. That being said, we still fall in love, we still want to have that special day and give a token of our affection to the love of our life. We have anniversaries that we want to remember and celebrate without feeling that we are missing out on being able to express ourselves with a gift the way we would have done 10 or perhaps even 5 years ago. However, the inevitable truth is that times have changed the way we celebrate and commemorate our most special moments. That is not all bad, it has prompted us to reflect on what is really important, not just the things we buy for our loved ones, but on our loved ones themselves.

The rising cost of a wedding today is staggering, a recent survey found on theknot.com polled some 10,000 brides and 1,000 grooms who were either married or engaged in the past year. The results reported that the average cost (not just the more expensive of tastes, but the average) of an engagement ring was $5,200. The average cost of the wedding band was $1,126 for her and $491 for him. And the most popular metal of choice among those preparing for their walk down the aisle, was white gold. Wow! That's quite an amount to be spent when a new couple is looking to secure a future together, and no doubt adds to the stress of planning their special day, especially since most couples are paying for their own ceremonies and receptions these days, without the help of mom and dad.

A Happy Solution

According to that same survey, a growing number of grooms had apparently found a solution to the expense of purchasing a white gold wedding band. 27% of the grooms surveyed had opted for a mans tungsten wedding band instead of white gold. I wanted to see how these averages fared with actual retailers, so in speaking with Ron Yates, CEO of Titanium-Jewelry.com, a leading online retailer of contemporary metals, he confirmed the findings, stating that grooms choosing tungsten was up by 8% from 2008. He commented further by saying that selection was important to the consumer, "We have found that more and more couples are choosing mixed metals wedding bands. Our best sellers are tungsten rings that are combined with gold or silver. The Tullamore tungsten ring by J.R. YATES with two sterling silver braids and the collection of tungsten rings with Rose gold by Heavy Stone Rings have been popular."

Grooms have not wanted to feel like they were making light or skimping on the significance of their wedding ring. As a result many still want the designer name, even if choosing a less expensive metal. For this reason, quite a few high end jewelry designers have been adding more and more men's tungsten wedding bands to their selection. One name that stands out in aiming to meet this demand is Benchmark. To show you the kind of value and savings that choosing tungsten carbide over white gold can give you, I recently compared 2 wedding bands of similar style, both from Benchmark. The price of the men's 7mm Benchmark wedding band in white gold was $1,549 while the 7mm Tungsten Carbide band also from Benchmark was a mere $199. That makes a world of difference when you are looking for style and still hope to afford the honeymoon. But such a price difference is to be expected, given the price of gold still hangs steadily at an average of $1,660 per ounce and has a projected increase to possibly $2,275 per ounce in 2012.

Will I Be Satisfied With Tungsten Carbides Quality?

Looking at the figures, quite obviously, there is no question of tungsten's affordability in comparison to that of white gold. The saving of money however is not the only concern prospective brides and grooms have in choosing a wedding band. Having a high quality band with beautiful appearance is just as important. No one wants to feel that they settled simply for what was the cheapest, because there was no alternative. That is the beauty and advantage of tungsten. It is durable and beautiful. Tungsten when used as a metal in jewelry making, is polished to a mirror like finish and will maintain that finish for the life of the piece. It is virtually scratch resistant, (which does not mean it is impossible to scratch, anything is possible if your setting out to intentionally scratch the metal) and is durable enough to be worn daily by a man who makes a living working with his hands. Gold though valuable is soft. Tungsten Carbide is 10 times harder than 18K gold, a desirable attribute when your dealing with an investment in quality, like jewelry. To illustrate, we are all aware that diamonds have a reputation as the hardest of stones, it measures in at a 10 on the Mohs hardness scale. Tungsten Carbide measures in between a 7-8 by the same scale, 5 times harder than that of Titanium.

Designers becoming aware of the public interest in choosing tungsten wedding bands instead of more traditional precious metals have made a wider selection available. This is not only out of concern for the consumer, it doesn’t take long to figure out, if they don't give people what they want, the people will find someone else who will. This is a definitely an advantage for those planning a wedding on a budget or who simply wish to choose more carefully where they spend their hard earned money. Shop around and view the selection whether it be a solid men's tungsten wedding band or one interlaced with gold for a distinct contrast. Designers have been working feverishly to create a variety of settings that will bring you back into the purchasing arena. Try to relax a little and enjoy your shopping experience. Take your time and choose a band that will leave you satisfied with your selection and still preserve your peace of mind that you did not have to break the bank to do it.

50th Birthday Party Ideas

By: Bridget Sweeney

If you're planning a 50th birthday surprise party, be ready for a little bit of work, and a lot of fun!

One of the most popular 50th birthday party ideas is to throw one with a '70s theme. Although a 50 year old was born in 1961, they were in high school in the 1970s and tend to identify with this era the most. It will be a trip down memory lane for the the birthday person and all the guests, too. When you're inviting the guests, tell them all to dress in 1970s style. In case they can't remember what kind of crazy clothes people wore back then, give suggestions like: bell bottoms, hot pants, anything polyester, flared hip huggers, fake fur, boots, and platform shoes. Men wore their shirts open at the top by leaving the buttons open. Head bands, tie dye tee-shirts, Levi's, lots of love beads, tinted round glasses, and dangly earrings were also popular. A thrift store is a great place to shop for these things.

Make a collage of photos of the birthday person that you collect from friends and family. Draw out a time line from childhood to the present leaving room at the bottom so guests can write down their fun memories of the honoree. In the invitation, ask people to speak at the 50th birthday party about the person you're all celebrating. Tell them to bring their best story ideas to the party. This way everyone can learn more about the 50 year old, and it can make great entertainment. It's similar to a "roast' in that it's all in good fun.

Play lively music from the '70s at your 50th birthday party. Ideas like: "Born to Run," "Brick House," "Y.M.C.A.," "Disco Inferno," "Last Dance," and "Play that Funky Music" are great choices. Hand out disposable cameras to the guests so you'll have great memories of the party.

Ideas for decorating the 50th birthday party go from balloons and streamers to an "over the hill" theme. Be sure to take into consideration how the 50 year old feels about this milestone birthday; some people are overly sensitive, so keep that in mind.

Ideas for munchies include chips and dip, raw vegetables, cheese and crackers, canapes, tapas, non-alcoholic drinks, retro candy, and birthday cake. It's best to keep the 50th birthday party simple; that way you can concentrate on having fun. If you make this a memorable occasion for everyone, you've done a great job!

The Truth About That Stradivarius Violin You Just Found At A Yard Sale

By: Mike Hammer

Antonio Stradivari (1644(?) - 18 December 1737) was an Italian maker of stringed instruments such as violins, cellos, guitars, violas, and harps. He is generally considered the most important artisan in this field.

Stradivari is thought to have been responsible for the production of about 1,100 different instruments. It is believed that about 650 of these have survived and out of these 500+ are violins.

It is the dream of every yard sales prowler and thrift shop buyer to find that long lost Stradivarius violin and reap the millions of dollars that would be the results of such a find. Unfortunately many unsuspecting buyers make the mistake of finding one of the thousand and thousand of reproductions that were produced and, thinking that they found the real deal, pay way too much for a knockoff.

Most of these reproductions were built in Czechoslovakia or Germany from the early 1800s to about 1920 and number in the tens of thousands. The vast majority of these have the label "Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno" with a hand written or printed date below this. These labels are glued to the inside of the violin and clearly visible through the "f hole".

These are "Stradivarius" Style Violins or reproductions. When they were produced they were not really meant to deceive the buyer. It was more of a marketing strategy to indicate the violin was designed after originals made by Antonio Stradivari.

Because of this fact the date on the "f-hole" labels are usually correct as to the year that the instrument was produced. A label dated 1865 should be a clue that this is a reproduction as Stradivari died in 1737.

When the original buyer was purchasing this violin he knew that he was getting an instrument that was a cheap copy of a priceless Stradivarius and not the real thing. Over the years the facts surrounding these knockoffs were forgotten and thus a rash of "found" Strads began turning up in antique stores, pawn shops and garage sales.

A lot of these have labels printed in English to conform with U.S. import regulations at the time. If your Strad has an English label it was not made by an 18th century Italian stringed instrument maker.

On most of his violins Stradivari used a printed label with the last 2 numbers of the year it was made in handwritten in ink or pencil. To see an authentic "AntoniusStradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno" label go to http://thetradingposts.com/images/Stradivarius%20Violin%20label.gif.

If you are looking at a labeled Stradivarius Violin you can be 99.99% sure that it is one of these bogus instruments. Out of the 500 or so violins known to made by Antonio Stradivari only a hand full are not accounted for. These are thought to be lost or stolen and never recovered. To see a list of known Strads and their last verified location go to http://www.theviolinsite.com/violin_making/strad-violins.html

Starting in March 1891, after enactment of the McKinley Tariff Act, all goods imported to the U.S. were required to be marked in English with the country of origin. In 1914 the Tariff Act has amended to make the words "Made In" in addition to the country of origin mandatory. This was not rigorously enforced until around 1921 so some pre 1921 pieces can still be found without "Made In" added on. If your violin has a label with a country of origin then is was more than likely made after 1891 and most assuredly is a Stradivarius "Style" Violin or fake.

As the American market was the largest one at the time, most musical instrument manufacturers were very quick to comply with the Tariff Act, producing thousands of these Stradivarius copies with the "Made In" label during the closing years of the 19th and early 20th century.

The quality of these reproductions varies a lot from quite good to really bad. The current market values for these late 19th to early 20th-century Strads vary greatly. Their worth depends on the quality of construction, condition and sound. This is something that would have to be determined by a specialist who deals with stringed instruments.

That said I often see these German or Czechoslovakian copies selling for less than $75.00 at auction. However, if you have one of these knock offs all may not be lost. Do a little research on the bow as I have seen $2,500.00 bows with $75.00 violins.

If, after reading this article, you are still convinced that your thrift shop find is an actual Strad - Please take it to a qualified expert before you spend over 100 bucks or so.

Today, a genuine Stradivarius can sell for enormous amount of money. One of his most famous pieces is a violin he completed in 1721 and is known as the "Lady Blunt." It was named for Lord Byron's granddaughter, Lady Anne Blunt, who owned it for 30 years. The "Lady Blunt" sold on July 21, 2011 for a sum of $15,932,115.00 at the Tarisio Auction. It was sold by the Nippon Music Foundation in aid of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami appeal.

Wedding Reception: How to Save on Your Wedding Cake

By: Kristy Ann Texon

While some modern-day couples decide to do away with some old wedding practices, there's one tradition that hasn't gone out of style: cutting the wedding cake. Sharing the confection marks a sweet beginning, which is why the cake is a staple for wedding receptions.

These days, cakes come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and price ranges, too. If you're working on a tight budget and you want an affordable wedding cake, see our ideas below.

DECORATE YOUR OWN CAKE.

Instead of ordering a cake in a design that complements your theme, order a plain one, and dress up the confection yourself. Lace, brooches, or even fresh flowers are just some of the materials you can easily find to decorate your cake. A minimalist design is also a good option--leave the rest of the cake bare, and just buy a playful topper that channels your theme. Not only will you save on your cake, but you'll be showcasing your creativity as well. (Check out Kat and Paul's dressed-up wedding cake.)

PREFER BUTTERCREAM TO FONDANT.

Fondant is a popular choice for icing on wedding cakes, but it's not the most affordable option. A yummy--and cheaper--alternative to fondant is buttercream icing, which also works well with a variety of cake flavors. Do note though that buttercream isn't advisable for outdoor or humid venues, as it can melt. (Check out Kat and Job's buttercream-covered wedding cake.)

INCORPORATE FAUX LAYERS.

A towering cake is preferred among the marrying crowd. If you want the same look at a more affordable cost, think of incorporating faux layers into your cake. The bottom layer can be the only edible portion, and the rest of the cake can be Styrofoam covered in icing--your guests won't be able to tell the difference. A lot of cake suppliers offer this option to their clients.

SERVE CUPCAKES OR SHEET CAKES.

If you want your guests to partake in dessert but you can't afford a cake with all-edible layers, you can have a mock cake for the cutting ceremony (see previous tip). The cake will just be for show--you can give out cupcakes to guests so they can still have their dessert (the cupcakes can also double as your wedding favors). Another option is to serve sheet cakes in the same flavor as your wedding cake. Sheet cakes are usually single-layer cakes baked in a flat rectangular pan, and are cheaper than the round multi-layered confections used as wedding cakes. (Check out Josephine and Bryan's wedding cupcakes.)

OPT FOR SATELLITE CAKES.

While most couples specially order their wedding cake, you can also explore the idea of serving several commercial cakes at your wedding. Display the cakes on a nice stand so they look extra-special for your reception. Not only are the commercial cakes cheaper than those custom-made for weddings, but serving the commercial cakes as satellite cakes would also allow you to offer several different flavors for your guests to enjoy.

How to Choose the Right Mobile Phone

By: Ryan Mclaughlin

In the rapid emergence of lots of mobile phones that you can purchase, it can become over whelming when picking one. Walking in the cell phone store or searching online you will note all kinds from flip phones to touch screens, Androids to iPhones. You will find big screens to small screens, 2G, 3G and 4G mobile phones. There are plenty of cellphones to choose from, how do we sort all of them out? How do we select the perfect phone which will fit perfectly? Today, now we will take a look at easy tactics to make picking the ideal mobile handset easy.

First you would like to consider while looking for that perfect cellular phone is have you want to text. If you love to text, you desire a mobile handset that makes it simply for you to perform so. Find a mobile device by using a keyboard wide sufficiently to make texting comfortable. Some keyboards are so tiny, until texting doesn t seem possible. It doesn t matter how beautiful this phone should be to you, it should not job for you. The most beneficial phones for somebody who love to text are the phones which has a sliding keyboard. Also choose the data plan with unlimited texting.

The following vital thing you want to consider is whether speed is a great part in your communications. All mobile phones aren't equal. Some cellphones are 3G whereas many newer models are 4G. Under the mobile technology world, the term 4G is defined as the fourth bunch of wireless network standards for smart phones and other mobiles. While 4G standards were never explicitly arranged, 4G networks are promising to bring faster, more reliable, and more secure wireless communication. If speed is considerable to your account, than look out for a 4G Smartphone. The price value is going to be a little more, nonetheless it may be definitely worth the price.

The last and final point you want to consider when looking for a cell phone the durability of the phone. While touch-screen phones look more up-to-date and sleek, they can be a nightmare to individuals who seem to drop their phones often. What number times have you ever seen someone smartphone with a broken and cracked screen? You could possibly are guilty of dropping your mobile phone and cracking the screen. Surprisingly, this will happen a great deal. Once you drop your touch-screen and crack the screen, many times it will of course still work, but with limited functionality. A number of the newer touch screens are coming out with screens which are a challenge to get break, but until this is available on a large scale, a smartphone without the touch-screen could be excellent for the clumsy, like me.

All though you will find other causes to have a look at when searching for the ideal smartphone, these are also the most important factors to consider. Whether you search online or offline for your personal next cellphone, remember these pointers and you'll possess a greater chance at picking the ideal one for you.

Tao Wireless invites you to order your next free cell phone at our website. Also read up-to-date articles on new mobile phones on our blog. We thank you for reading this article and would love to hear from you if you have a topic you want us to cover.

Dating Japanese Ceramics by Backstamps - A short Reference Guide!

By: Mike Hammer

This Is A Short History of Import Markings/Backstamps and Dating of Japanese Ceramics

Dates range from pre 1891 to today.

This is just a general guide and, as always, individual pieces may vary!

Pre 1891 - Items imported to the U.S. did not have to be marked with the country of their origin.

Most Japanese ceramics were not stamped with any backstamp or they were marked with the Artist's or Manufacture's name in Japanese.

1891 - 1921 - Starting in March, 1891, after enactment of the McKinley Tariff Act, all goods imported to the U.S. were required to be marked in English with the country of origin.

In 1914 the Tariff Act has amended to make the words "Made In" in addition to the country of origin mandatory. This was not rigorously enforced until around 1921 so some pre 1921 pieces can still be found without the "Made In" phrase.

Most Japanese pieces from this period were marked "Nippon" or "Hand Painted Nippon". They quite often will have a company logo. You will find a few pieces from this era just marked Japan and a few with no markings at all.

1921 - 1941 - In August, 1921 the U.S. Custom Service ruled that Nippon could no longer be used and all goods where to be backstamped with "Made in Japan". Some items got into the U.S. with just a "Japan" stamp. In an effort to save on labor costs not all pieces in a setting were backstamped. This means that you can have an 8 place setting that was imported as a 12 place setting with no stamps at all.

Prior to WW ll the few paper stickers that made it to the U.S. were very flimsy and glued on with very weak glue.

1941 - 1945 - This was WW ll so there were no imports from Japan. Imports from Japan did not really start back up until the summer of 1947.

1947 - 1952 - The occupation of Japan by the U.S. began in September 1945 but no items reached the U.S. from Japan until around August 1947. All imports from Japan up till 1949 had to be stamped "Occupied Japan" or "Made in Occupied Japan".

In 1949 the U.S. Custom Service decreed that "Occupied Japan", "Made in Occupied Japan", "Made in Japan" or just "Japan" where acceptable.

Most pieces were backstampted in black ink. Later in this period flimsy paper stickers started to show up on more and more items. Most of these were removed or fell off so these pieces can be unmarked.

1952 - Today - The vast majority of today's Imports are marked "Japan" or "Made in Japan". This is when the paper or foil labels came into their own. The 2 most common labels now seem to be:

1 - A small oval or rectangular shaped paper sticker. These, most likely, will be made in blue or black with white lettering.

2 - A black or red foil label with gold or silver lettering.

Some imports are still backstamped today but not many.

Caution – A lot of knockoffs were imported from China in the 1980s to early 2000s and to a lesser extent are still coming in. These are made so well that to recognize these fakes by just looking at the backstamp is almost impossible.

3 Tips To Buying Used Refrigerators

By: Jon Herbet

Need to be wildly successful with buying used refrigerators ? Good. The best way to succeed with buying used refrigerators, (like it is for most of life's endeavors) is within the research, understanding and planning. You should think of the bigger picture, visualize it in its entirety, then break it down and organize it into easy parts or phases. You should make a good plan and follow it well. Being aware of detail and doing things correctly will likely be necessary to succeed with buying used refrigerators. Doing things in a slovenly, half-way manner could trigger disastrous results. You might be confronting issues of buying broken fridges, or perhaps even buying refrigerators that break down soon after buying them.

To guide you along, here I will discuss three excellent tips. Those that heed them are often more apt to succeed and steer clear of problems. Adhering closely to those suggestions and tips can really help guarantee your likelihood of success:

First and foremost, you should always test the unit before you buy it.

You'll need to plug it in and make sure it is in good working condition since that may help you stay clear of buying a product that does not work. Failure to do this could actually result in a lose of money. Please avoid the error of ignoring or slighting this important step!

Next is, always asking for a lower price,

Of practically an equal relevance as always testing the unit before you buy it, when struggling with buying used refrigerators will likely be always asking for a lower price. I am here to inform you, you won't want to overlook this. It is important to negotiate because most people will be willing to take a lower price, which can be something that everyone who want to succeed with buying used refrigerators wants.

Finally, you should always ask them how often they maintained the refrigerator.

If your goal will be to succeed at buying used refrigerators, be sure to ask the owner how often they cleaned and maintained it. That will help you with determine how well they took care of it, which happens to be an important part of determining what kinda of condition it is in. Not getting that handled right could mean that you could possibly have to buy a new one shortly after because it will break down. And we all know that that would not very likely be good...

Decide to exercise exceptional care when planning on buying used refrigerators, as was mentioned earlier. Don't forget and make blunders which might make you issues of buying broken fridges or, worse yet, even buying refrigerators that break down soon after buying them. Set your goal to be successful at finding and buy a used refrigerator. Continue with the above suggestions and obtain that goal.

Are you looking for a used refrigerator in Dallas or used refrigerators in Chicago? Then check out our site for the best spots to buy them.
